Gun Violence in America and How to Fix it

Presidents Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley and John F. Kennedy were assassinated. Teddy Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and now Donald Trump were shot but not killed. Fortunately, Trump survived and narrowly avoided becoming one of the more than 45,000 people in the United States who will die of gunshot wounds this year.
We live in the most violent, high-income country in the world.
No other nation even comes close. Chances are that next year another 45,000 of our fellow citizens will be shot and killed, while another 85,000 will be shot and survive. We know this is going to happen, and yet our leaders do nothing.
Great nations, great businesses and great organizations with great leaders take a look at the brutal facts and make changes. They solve problems, especially the BIG ones. As a country we have a long list of BIG problems that none of our presidential candidates are talking about.
I care about our country.
I am frustrated that none of our candidates running for president have comprehensive big-issue plans that include specifics, timetables and honest assessments of the costs and personal sacrifices that will be required.
This is why I wrote a book called A Bold Plan for America. You can download it here for free. It includes a fact-filled chapter on gun violence, along with a list of potential solutions. You can also download a podcast that I recorded on gun violence.
I am not a Democrat, I am not a Republican. I am an American who cares about the future of our country, who cares about the facts, and who believes that we need our leaders to deal with our most pressing problems. Gun violence is one of them.
Please spread the word. We have a country to save.
